Cheryl Cecil Penava



Coaching and Consulting Experience

Cheryl has been coaching and developing employees and managers of all levels throughout her career. Cheryl’s areas of expertise include interpersonal skill development, leadership development, career management and the ability to create culture shifts in the workplace. Cheryl is a skilled trainer and facilitator, specializing in communications. Cheryl’s background in assessing and developing employees has helped her in her role as an executive coach. Cheryl has participated in the design and development of assessment tools for new hire screening, management development and performance measurement.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

Cheryl’s career has included senior positions for Fortune 100 companies in the areas of sales, sales management and training & development. She has managed and trained a broad spectrum of employees including senior executives, relationship managers, finance and marketing reps, sales reps and administrative assistants.

In private practice since 2006, Cheryl delivers workshops and provides coaching to a broad range of clients including large corporations, entrepreneurs, small business managers and family operators. Cheryl’s workshops and coaching tools support many facets of communications including face to face meetings, telephone and email skills, workplace etiquette, difficult relationships, and productive conflict. Her passion and commitment to communications best practices is evident in highly rated course and client evaluations.

Education

Cheryl holds a B.S. Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky, and an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School, Chicago, Illinois.

She is a certified DDI Management Candidate Assessor, Total Quality Management instructor and Advanced Sales Training Series (ASTS) instructor. Cheryl has attended numerous continuing education courses in the financial services and sales management fields.

Cheryl is a member of Right Management’s coaching staff, the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Kentucky Coaches Alliance.
